The mobile app Amikumu shows you nearby people with whom you can practice Esperanto and other languages.

Hosting exchange

Pasporta Servo is a program where people offer to host fellow Esperanto speakers for a couple of nights, and/or show them around, with no money involved. It is similar to couchsurfing, and actually predates it. It currently has more than 2400 hosts in 119 countries.

Local meetups

There are regular Esperanto gatherings in many cities around the world. You can find them mainly on Eventa Servo, with a few of them also on Meetup.com.

Conferences

World Congress: the UK (Universala Kongreso de Esperanto) is the oldest and most important Esperanto conference. Except for the world wars and covid pandemic, it has happened every year since 1905, always in a different country.

Youth: the IJK (Internacia Junulara Kongreso) the largest international gathering for youth.

Multiple cities: Paralela Universo is an yearly, one day party that happens in multiple cities at the same time.

Science and technology: KAEST (Konferenco pri Aplikoj de Esperanto en Scienco kaj Tekniko) focuses on the application of Esperanto in the science and technology community.

Board games: KoKoLoRES and ABELO are small, relaxed meetups in Germany for playing board and card games.

Associations

Worldwide: the UEA (Universala Esperanto-Asocio) is the worldwide association for all Esperanto speakers. TEJO (Tutmonda Esperantista Junulara Organizo) is the international organization for youth (34 and under).

National and regional: there are 71 national associations, and many other local organizations at various levels.

Specialist associations: there are also many international associations for Esperanto speakers centered around a specific topic. Examples include biciclists, vegetarians, radio amateurs, LGBT and more.
